Congratulations to Tracee Ellis Ross!At the 74th Golden globes she won best performance by an actress in a tv series- (musical or comedy) for her role in “Blackish”.

This was the first time an African American has won this award since Debbie Allan won in 1983 for her role in Fame. She is also the first African American nominee in the field since Allen and Nell Carter of “Gimme a Break” were nommed in 1984.
Ms. Ellis dedicates her win to woman of color “This is for all the women of color and colorful people whose stories, ideas, and thoughts are not always considered worthy and valid and important. But I want you to know that I see you. We see you.”
