The largest East Coast film festival of its kind celebrates and showcases the stories of Asians and Pacific Islanders in film, performance art, music and other creative expressions during its 11-day run. The 2022 festival is a hybrid event, with all in-person programs taking place at Asian Arts Initiative. Highlights this week include the 1991 film Mississippi Masala, starring Sarita Choudhury and Denzel Washington (Saturday) and Ricochet, a 2022 documentary following two public defenders in San Francisco.
